Imphal, May 27 2009: The United Clubs Organization (UCO) and the JAC against the killing of Professor Md Islamuddin has observed a public sit-in-protest at Hatta Golapati against the killing of the Former Dean of Students Welfare, Manipur University, Professor, Md Islamuddin on May 25 inside the University Campus by the proscribed Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) outfit.

The sit in protest was observed from 2 pm till 5 pm today.

Placards written as "Ojada khut thabadi eema eepada khut thabani", "KYKL gi lichat terroristki lichatni" and "KYKL pangdabani" were also displayed during the protest.

The protesters stated that culprits should have given a warning instead of giving him the capital punishment at once.

The killing of Professor Md Islamuddin has caused a great lost to the Muslim Community.
