Jiribam, October 30 2008: A corporal of KNF (Samuel) faction identified as Mangboi Haokip alias Karbin (28) s/o Ngurkhose Haokip of Tuila, Churachandpur district was shot dead by suspected cadres of knf (MC) in the wee hours today.

According to sources, he was called out from a house in Sejang village, Jiri by some suspected armed UGs at around 3 am today and was found shot dead.

The body was found dumped at Muongbung Tea Estate, 7 kms from Jiri Police Station.

The body was later retrieved by the villagers of Sejang.
