Imphal, October 27 2008: Referring to reported statements made by various organisations from Zeliangrong community including the victims' families through mass media, the KLA/KLO reiterated that they had no intention to hurt any passenger nor harass any one of them.

A press release issued by the KLO/KLA information and publicity secretary Malsawm Kuki further maintained that they asked all the passengers to get down from the bus as soon as possible for their safety.

The outfit wanted only to teach a lesson to the Inter-State Bus Association for their refusal to pay "annual taxes as well as for their mocking remarks", it conveyed.

Apologising once again to the bereaved families, the outfit assured compensation according to Zeliangrong customary law.
