Imphal, December 24: The proscribed PREPAK today has claimed that N Samananda (32) of Thanga Nongmaikhong who was shot by 7 Assam Rifles and arrested later on December 22 from Thanga Chingjin at about 8.30 pm and N Romajit (32) of Kongpal Chanam Leikai and S Thouba Meitei (26) of Langathel Thingam Leikai who were shot dead by Imphal East police commandos on December 23 at about 5.30 pm at Porompat Heikakmapal were in no way related to the outfit.

In a statement, the secretary in charge of the dept of publicity and propaganda of PREPAK, Aheiba Angom said that all the three are and were innocent civilians and they were targeted by the police and security forces on false charges.

This is a fact that should not be lost on the people of the State, said the outfit and added that the flip flop stand of the security forces in first saying the they were PLA cadres and then PREPAK men is self explanatory.
