Imphal, September 24: The bomb experts of the Police Department today safely detonated a lethod bomb which was placed inside the kitchen of one Md Jalan Haji of Yairipok Ningthounai as threat by unidentified persons last night.

According to report, before entering the house and placing the bomb in the kitchen, the unidentified persons had also opened firing for 5 to 6 rounds.

The bomb was detonated at a secluded spot along the bank of Thoubal river this morning.
