Imphal, September 03: In continued violent incidents, unidentified gunmen opened, fire at the Uripok Khaidem Leikai residence of Agriculture Officer Tayenjam Holland last night even as bomb experts of the Police Department retrieved a bomb found lying on the road side at Taothong in Imphal East district today morning.

The attack was carried out from the backside of the house' and the bullets pierced through the walls of the kitchen.

However, no one was injured in the attack.

In protest against the attack, members of Uripok Khaidem LeikaiNganulcima Women's Welfare Association staged a Wakat Meepham today.

On the other hand, bomb experts of the State Police Dept retrieved as bomb which was found lying on the road side at Taothong in Imphal West district at around 9.30 am today.
