Imphal, November 30: The proscribed UNLF has claimed that its MPA cadres have killed three security personnel yesterday since the battle broke out from November 18 at Dingpi and Khengjoi areas in Chandel district.

In a statement, the outfit said that the three SF men were killed when MPA cadres attacked them at a spot near Tuitung and Chaljang villages yesterday at about 8.45 am.

Stating that heavy fighting is going on in the said area, the statement said that the Indian security personnel have started using heavy artilleries and added that like in the previous year, the heavy bombardments will damage the houses of the villagers forcing them to flee.

The UNLF also appealed to the civil society organisations as well as all humanitarian agencies to extend their helping hand to the hapless villagers.
