Imphal, June 22: While reiterating its assertion that the KYKL is responsible for the killing of one Sarangthem Nilamani of Chingnungkhok village in the gun-fight between the KYKL and KCP cadres on june 18, the former described the KYKL as a boisterous organisation that unhesitatingly meddles in the affairs of others.

Claiming that the elderly civilian (Nilamani) was a few feet ahead of two KCP (MC) cadres who were assigned to purchase grocery items when some 5-6 activists of the KYKL ordered to raise hand and asked for identities followed by suspected small arm firing, Lanheiba maintained that Nilamani was shot from close range as bullet wound could be observed on the head.

Even though Nilamani shouted he was a civilian KYKL activists did not spare him, alleged the KCP (MC) secretary who advised the armed rivals to exercise restrain before jumping to the illusionary conclusion that KCP or other groups are colluding with security forces.

With regard to nefarious activities of KYKL, Lanheiba listed slaying of student activists, outraging modesty of women folk, slaying of individuals in the presence of family members/parents and killing of even rickshaw pullers as some of the brutal acts perpetrated by KYKL.

On its proclamation that activists of the KYKL's frontal organisations would be target, Lanheiba maintained its target would be upon individuals closely associated and weaned by money power of KYKL.

The secretary further belittled proclaimed objective of KYKL/UNLF to unite different armed outfits by reminding that it would be a futile attempt by outfits that had themselves endured splits in the past apart from the fact that armed organisations with hegemony as top priority could hardly win confidence of others.
