Imphal, July 11: Expressing strong resentment at the fact that the ongoing indefinite economic blockade had caused enormous hardship to the general public several organisations appealed to the blockade sponsors ANSAM to call off the agitation in the interest of the masses.

Also castigating the Govt for putting the common people under duress and failure to solve the impasse Thangmeiband United Club, International Peace and Social Advancement (Tiddim Road), the Association of the Premier State College Seniors, Manipur Loumi Lup and Universal Socio-Economic Backward Friendship (Luwangsangbam) demanded that both the Government and the student body sit across the table and thrash out differences.
