Imphal, May 05: Accusing Major Vijay of the Assam Rifles unit posted at Saikul of conniving with KNO/KNA in the elimination of its former Corporal Rolex Misao who had been given retirement on medical ground and was staying at home, KRA information and publicity secretary Th Misao has demanded an explicit explanation from the AR officer.

Speaking to reporters at a location in Sadar Hills today, Misao alleged that retired Rolex Misao was shot dead at Saikul Makokching after pulling up from his home during an operation conducted by about 30 armed cadres of KNO/KNA with the assistance of AR troops.

Strongly contending that Maj Vijay was a party in plotting to eliminate Rolex, Misao asserted that the AR officer owes an explanation.

He further accused Maj Vijay of deliberately launching operations in Saikul area to flush out KRA cadres towards jungles so that KNO/KNA cadres and KLA (Doungel group) can be brought in Saikul area.

Misao also decried the alleged claim of Maj Vijay that KLA cadres were behind the firing incident near the AR post Thangkanphai.

He contended that the shots were fired by KNO and KLA cadres at the instigation Maj Vijay.

The KRA publicity secretary also questioned the motive of the alleged game plan being hatched by AR troops together with KNO and KLA.

The KRA also reiterated its condemnation of the killing of its public relation officer Haopao Chongloi and four students at Ikou bazar some time back by a combined team of KNO/KNA and KLA which allegedly lack any revolutionary spirit.

Misao further clarified that Haopao Chongloi was not full fledged cadre of the KRA but someone working to build up a healthy relationship with the people.

In the aftermath of the killing of Haopao, the KRA launched an intensive operation from Wakhanpao to Sagolmang and flushed out KNO/KNA and KLA cadres.

Moreover, three camps were destroyed and many weapons belonging to the KNO/KNA and KLA were recovered, he recalled.
