Imphal, June 04 2009: The proscribed UNLF has refuted any connection whatsoever with the individual slain in a reported encounter with 12 AR at Nambisha village, Ukhrul district yesterday while also denying any relation between the outfit and the two individuals shot dead by 20 AR as suspected UNLF/MPA cadres on Maipi-Angbrasu road, Chandel district on June 2 .

A press release issued by the outfit senior publicity officer Ksh Yoiheiba asserted that the AR PRO's statement was totally false.

Contending that there was no incident of any gun-fight in the area, Yoiheiba said that no MPA cadres was sent to duty with small weapons/pistols.

The incident would have been continuation of security forces killing innocent people in cold blood after pulling them up from elsewhere after which the slain individuals were dressed up in combat fatigue only to claim that the individual was a UG or UNLF/MPA cadre and that he was killed in encounter.

Accusing security forces of targeting valley people selectively in their alleged effort to strain the relationship the fraternal bond between the hill and valley people, the outfit asserted that some innocent Meiteis who were earning their livelihood by making boats were eliminated by security forces earlier at Henglep.

It's time for all Manipuris who joined security forces for livelihood to ponder over such dastardly activities.

Alleging that the two individuals reported killed in an encounter on Maipi-Angbrasu road were eliminated in a fake encounter after they were pulled down from a vehicle at Tengnoupal the previous day, the outfit contended that the two individuals were innocent shop-keepers going to buy goods from Moreh for retail sale.

Asserting that the security forces were being given a free hand to kill innocent people at will, the outfit reminded the case of Khwairakpam Megha of Naorem Leikai.

The residence of the villainous Kuki individual where Megha was held captive before being allegedly handed over to AR by the two wicked Kuki commandos, now arrested for abduction of Megha and the nexus they had with AR can be identified and exposed by questioning the two accused.

But the State Govt, being a stooge of the alien rule, is unable to speak out a single word rather the Govt has been taking side with the security forces, the outfit alleged.

It further asked the people whether they should not take a firm resolution, if only for a single day, to lead a dignified life instead of waiting for death silently and helplessly.
