Imphal, December 29: The KRA has blamed the KRA (U) for the murder of its general secretary K Hangshing at Delhi some time back.

Briefing media persons after its 8th raising day celebration, KRA Information secretary Th Misao alleged that the KRA(U) was constituted by deserters belonging to both hills and valley.

The organisation has no revolutionary ideology or principle, he said.

Giving an example, Misao said that Rocky, now a member of KRA (U), was a cadre of the KLA.

He was made to retire in 2000 on health ground.

Moreover, he was sponsored a training course in John Robert Theological Seminary at Shillong.

For his training course, Rocky was helped with Rs 2 lakhs by late Hangshing.

Another KRA (U) member Luwangnamba alias King was a deserter from the UNLF, Misao alleged while disclosing that King is being hunted by the UNLF.

Misao mentioned that KRA (U) abducted one student at Guwahati only to release after receiving a ransom of Rs 15 lakhs recently.

Taking part in the press meet, advisor to KRA's Karbi Anglong based NL Battalion LK Chongloi denied knowledge of the presence of any KRA (U) in Karbi Anglong.

Maintaining that there is no question of split in NL Bn, LK Chongloi disclosed that no decision has been taken about the KRA (U) as yet.

Stating that investigation into the murder of K Hangshing is going on, Misao asserted that KRA (U) should be held responsible for the killing of Hangshing.
