Imphal, September 23 2009: A man was found dead at Yumnam Huidrom COSMO ground along Mayai Lambi early morning today.

According to police report, the deceased was one Huidrom Ibomcha (25) s/o Shyamkesho of Top Siphai Yumnam Huidrom.

It is suspected that he died of drug overdose.

The body has been handed over to his family members after postmortem examination at the mortuary of RIMS Hospital.

On the other hand, the bodies of two suspected cadres of the proscribed PREPAK who were shot dead by Thoubal Police Commandos during an alleged encounter yesterday morning at Sekmaijin Khunou have been claimed by their respective families.

The slain UG suspects have been identified as Samurailatpam Tombi Sharma (250 s/o Khongnem of Sekmaijin Lai Makha and Huirem Imu (33) s/o Tomba of Sekmaijin Khunou Litan Mathak.

Postmortem on the bodies have been conducted, as unclaimed bodies at Lilong PHC yesterday, and later deposited at the mortuary of RIMS Hospital.
