Imphal, June 22 2009: Clarifying that it did not indict any group or individual directly for the murder of Yengkhom Krishnadas, the KCP has asked both PREPAK and PULF to stop their alleged attempts to project KCP as a gang supporting former KCP cadre Th Nando, bereft of any ideology or objective.

A press release issued by the outfit's CFR cum DIPR secretary in-charge Tabungba Meitei asserted that no suspect or accused in a criminal case can be proclaimed guilty until he/she is convicted with ample proof and evidence.

The reaction of PREPAK and PULF only exposed themselves.

Reacting to the assertion of PULF's PM Akber that Nando was arrested by police for his involvement in the murder case, Tabungba claim that the assertion was based on reports of the State Government without undertaking any probe of their own.

But what KCP said was based on its own investigation.

The allegation that KCP was a gang supporting Th Nando was nothing but denigrating and challenging the outfit, Tabungba said.

Rather than indulging in mudslinging through mass media it would be better for all to understand the situation together through dialogue.

Tabungba further asked PM Akbar to explain the facts and truths in media within 48 hours.
