Imphal, June 18 2009: The outfit United Kuki Liberation Front (UKLF) has clarified that there was no relationship whatsoever between the outfit and Laishram Ingo (40), shot dead by a combined security team at Laimanai village, 7 kms South West of Waikhong police station on June 16.Referring to the claim of security forces that Laishram Ingo retired three/four months back, a press release issued by UKLF information and publicity secretary Mathew clarified that the allegation was totally baseless.

It further clarified that the monetary demand served to Blue Hill counter Imphal in the name of Akash on a UKLF letter head was not related to the outfit.

Saying that Akash is not a member of the organisation, the outfit appealed to the public to contact organisation immediately or the nearest security forces in case there is any monetary demand in the name of the outfit.
