Imphal, June 08 2009: Denouncing the assassination of Prof Md Islamuddin of Manipur University, students of different schools staged protest demonstrations at different places today.

The student protesters put up placards which read as "We condemn murder of teacher", "Killing teacher cannot bring quality education" "What were the faults of Prof Islamuddin", "Punish the killers", "Don't repeat such killings in future" etc.

The protest demonstrations were staged at Sunshine Academy, Moidangpok Aheibam Leikai; Unique Golden Cradle School, Awang Khunou; Nongchup Imphal Government Junior High School, Lanjonbi Bazar; Pole Star Public School, Yurembam Bazar and PI Higher Secondary School.
