Imphal, May 06 2010: NSCN (IM) has described the resistance posed by the Government of Manipur to the entourage of Muivah from visiting his native village Somdal as diabolic.

In a statement, ministry of information and publicity of the Naga rebel outfit said that the way the Manipur Government had resisted the entourage of Muivah to visit his native village Somdal is diabolic, to say the least.

Three students were shot dead in cold blood at Mao Gate, the outfit alleged, adding that they mere students, studying in college.

Identifying the slain students as Loshua S/o Daikho (BA 2nd year in St.Joseph's College), Jakhama, Kalinama village; Chakho s/o Nelli (BA.2nd Year, St Joseph's Evening, College), Kalinama village and Lokho, MA student s/o Nishini, of Songsong village, the statement informed that they have been declared as National martyrs in an emergency Joint Council meeting held at the Council headquarters.

The Joint Council also condemns the barbaric killing in the strongest term, the statement added.

It further warned the Manipur Government that any untoward incident that may follow will be entirely its responsibility and said that this is nothing but State sponsored terrorism and unprovoked suppression of democratic protest.

The NSCN/GPRN also condoles the death of the three students.

"May God comfort the bereaved family members at this hour of grief and sorrow," it prayed.

Furthermore, the statement maintained that history was created yesterday (May 5) , and nobody can undo it.

No matter what obstructionist forces do to derail the peaceful settlement of Indo-Naga political issue, a historic step has been taken and there is no retreat, no force on earth can stop the storming tide of Naga nationalism, asserted the outfit.

Expressing gratitude to the people of Viswema village led by Viswema Village Council for the reception accorded to Ato Kilonser Th Muivah at Viswema yesterday, the statement said that the warm welcome was unexpected but it was something nostalgic for Muivah.

He was extremely happy to meet the elderly members of the village.

But the fact that the Viswema village has such strong emotional attachment with the national workers who are in the forefront of Naga national struggle has made Muivah all the more happy, the statement said.

The support given by our Naga civil societies like Naga Hoho, NSF, NPMHR, NMA, Naga Council, APO, SAPO, AYO and others is highly appreciated and shall be valued for all time to come.

They have all enthusiastically participated in creating another beautiful chapter in the history of Naga Political struggle.

It is hoped that they will continue to stand by us till the very end, the statement added.
