Imphal, May 06: Armed cadres of KNO/KLA reportedly shot dead an activist of the rival KRA during an operation at Saikul area in the evening of May 3 .

In connection with the incident, information and publicity secretary of KNO/KLA Armstrong Gangte said that in the evening of May 3, KNO/KLA cadres conducted an operation to flush out anti-social elements from Saikul area.

During the course of the operation and based on specific information, Rolex Misao, one S/S corporal of KRA was rounded up.

As efforts were being made to release him after proper verification, Rolex, taking advantage of darkness forcibly snatched a weapon from KNO/KLA cadres compelling the KNO/KLA cadres to shoot down Rolex unwillingly, Armstrong Gangte said, adding that it was not the intension of KNO/KLA to eliminate corporal Rolex.

Gangte further clarified that there is no such group called KLA Doungel group other than KLA under KNO which is fighting for the cause of restoring the lost Zalenngam.

So Th Misao should understand that media is not the platform to mislead the general people.

Furthermore, Gangte clarified that KNO/KLA has no link with Maj Vijay of AR Saikul Post and so the baseless charges cooked up by Th Misao have nothing to do with KNO/KLA.
