Imphal, January 31: The proscribed PREPAK has claimed responsibility for hurling two bombs and firing several rounds at the residence of Ningombam Gojen (45) at Thoubal Ningombam Laxmi Bazar on December 29 last year.

A press release issued by the outfit's Thoubal District Commander Ajit Meitei accused Gojen of disparaging the revolutionary movement of the PREPAK and scheming to present the outfit in wrong light to the public.

The attack was also compelled by his failure to abide by the restrictions imposed by the outfit, stated Ajit while justifying the attack with a necessity to teach Gojen a lesson.

Asking Gojen to give in to the PREPAK within February 15, the district commander warned that in case he continues to stand against the party, he will be awarded capital punishment anytime anywhere.

Cautioning that any body found giving sanctuary or supporting Gojen may also face punishment, Ajit appealed to all concerned to bring Gojen to the right path and to hand him over to the outfit.

The PREPAK would not entertain any appeal for leniency in future, concluded Ajit.
