Imphal, April 16 2009: The proscribed KCP has condoled the demise of its MFLs��2nd Lieutenant Ningombam Open alias Leingakpa s/o N Tomba of Ningomthong Kitna Paring and Private Soibam Narjit alias Tarkot at the hands of police commandos.

A press release issued by the outfit's publicity secretary Malemnganba Meitei contended that Open and Narjit were shot dead by commandos in cold blood at Chingungkok after they were pulled up from Kangpokpi.

2nd Lt Open had retired from the party but he returned to the outfit because of repeated harassment and arrests by police commandos, the outfit alleged.

Open is survived by his wife and a four year old son.

Praying that the departed souls may rest in peace in the heavenly abode, the outfit also shared the pain and sorrow being endured by the bereaved families.
