All the four girls are sisters.

The incident occurred when one of the four sisters accidentally hit the bomb which was believed to be a lethod bomb by a spade while digging near their garden.

It is suspected to be the bomb left during the factional gun fight between NSCN-IM and NSCN-K on September 19 of 2006 which took place at Kajenlong village.

Out of the four, one of them is in a critical condition.

The victims have been identified as Taschuiliu (7) who got injury on the left ear and legs, Luningwangliu (12) who was injured at both the legs and her stomach (in serious condition), Wellingliu Nengmei (3), was hit by splinters at her knee while the nine month old Withiuliu got injury at her hands.

Narrating the incident, the father of the four injured, Karungding Nengmei said that his daughters were playing and digging the garden when suddenly a bomb exploded.

Adding to his problem in rushing to the nearest medical centre, he has to wait for another night with four injured siblings in a remote part of the State, said the distraught father.

He went on to say with much pain and hurdles he reached the hospital in Imphal for medical attention only today.

The four sisters have been admitted at RIMS hospital in which one of them needs a surgical operation immediately.

No one seems to be coming for extending a helping hand.

Not even from the government side nor from the local NGOs so far.

Meanwhile, in a separate incidents two bombs were found today in different locations of Manipur which have been apparently planted while targeting the security forces, according to official sources.

The sources disclosed that a bomb was found near Assam Rifles' post at Sagolmang under Lamlai police station this morning while another bomb was found at Yairipok Sikhong village in Thoubal district of Manipur.
