ZSUM flays

Tamenglong, June 09 2010: The Zeliangrong Student's Union Manipur, ZSUM today condemned the state government for declaring the president of United Naga Council (UNC), Samson Remei and the president of All Naga Student's Association Manipur (ANSAM), David Choro as "wanted" persons.

Samson Remei and David Choro were tirelessly working according to the voice of the people for the welfare of Naga societies.

They are not working for their own personal gains, said ID Chunlubou, Information Secretary ZSUM.

He said that both Samson Remei and David Choro were serving the people as full-fledged presidents, adding that they were not mere acting presidents.

He also clarified that the indefinite economic blockade on NH 39 and 53 was imposed against the state government's decision to go ahead with the ADC election in the hill districts of Manipur under the unwanted ADC Act.

The indefinite economic blockade has no relation with the home coming of Th Muivah.

In the meantime, the Zeliangrong Students' Union, Khoupum Area (ZSUKA) has congratulated Dinringam Kamei, son of Lumgongpou Kamei of Sanabut Village of Khoupum for bagging position in class XII (Arts) examination 2010.Convener ZSUKA Ningtoulung Malangmei hoped and prayed that he may come out in flying colours in future too.

On the other hand, D Gangmei, SDO Tousem has informed all the students of Tousem SubDivision to get subsidy of rice from the grain godown Tamenglong.
