Imphal, June 01: In yet another case of factionalism causing confusion in the minds of all, KCP (MC) has issued a statement under the signature of Tamngangba Meetei, propaganda and technical officer of the said outfit, which welcomed the statement of the UNLF and the KYKL in connection with the bomb attack at RIMS.

The statement comes a day after Lanheiba Meitei of the KCP had rubbished the statement of UNLF and KYKL.

Asserting that it fully endorses the dubbing of the bomb attack at RIMS as an act of terrorism, the statement however said that using the term KCP (MC) was too generalised and added that it could have been made more specific.

It is unfortunate that the two outfits should have used the term KCP (MC) in such a generalised manner that the outfit was cast as an agent of the security forces, it maintained.

Such a statement will only give more room to reactionaries and anti-revolutionaries to flex their muscles.

Though the seeds of the KCP were sown by the committed leaders earlier, it broke up into many factions at different points of time, after the elders passed away, said the statement.

The same menace also afflicted the UNLF when it broke up into two factions as UNLF (M) and UNLF (O), said the statement and added that later the O faction formed the KYKL.

The clashes led to the assassination of the then chairman of UNLF, Arambam Somorendra, recalled KCP (MC).

However the clashes have stopped and today the UNLF and the KYKL are working together in co-operation which is a positive step to continue with the revolutionary movement.

The reason why KCP (MC) was formed has been explained to the people before, said the statement and added that main reason was the clamouring for leadership by incompetent persons who have no revolutionary spirit.

The statement went to claim that there is no one by name of Lanheiba alias Khogen, secretary military affairs in the KCP (MC).

The question of who is Lanheiba alias Khogen will be known only by captain Ingba alias Mera of the KYKL, asserted Tamnganba.
