Later at about 3 pm when explosive experts were being awaited, a man came and claimed the carton.
The individual is identified as Md Tamijur (29) s/o Kasim of Sora.
He is said to be a cart puller.
He clarified that the carton belongs to one Khemchand of Kakching and that he left it when loading by mistake.
At that time, Khemchand was waiting for the article at Thoubal bus parking, Keishampat, he explained to police.
Subsequently, Tamijur was asked to open the carton and it was found containing betel leaves and betel nuts Kom Kwa.

An Improvised Explosive Device (IED) discovered at Yairipok Peti today at about 2.15 was safely set off by explosive experts of Manipur Police there.
On the other hand, traffic in the busy Thangal Bazar road was disrupted for a while at about 1.15 pm today as police suspected a bomb in a carton lying unattended in front of garments shop Merry Kings, adjacent to Hotel Prince.
