Imphal, May 28 2009: Expressing dismay over the killing of Prof Islamuddin by the proscribed KYKL, the KCP today said that the allegations levelled by the latter may be true but it again may be wrong, for the allegations were levelled after he was shot dead.

In a statement, secretary general of the outfit, Khamba Luwangcha said that it is unfortunate that such a killing should have come at a time when the people are crying out against 'State sponsored terrorism' wherein police commandos and security forces level charges after eliminating someone.

This makes the action of the KYKL akin to the acts of the police commandos and the security forces, it asserted.

Sharing its thoughts, KCP said that the KYKL would do wise not to forget that no revolutionary organisation can afford to act like terror groups.

Any act which resembles acts of terror will be to the loss of not only the movement but also for the people.

No one should forget that the public is the water and the revolutionaries are the fishes, it asserted, adding the act of the KYKL is self defeating.

The outfit urged the KYKL not to repeat such acts in the future.
