Cold blooded killing still simmers

Imphal, November 23 2009: In case any one belonging to Chingmeirong is found involved in thrashing to death Ngangom Kuber by KCP-MC (Sangai group), the individual along with his whole family would be banished from the locality.

This was resolved in a public meeting of Chingmeirong Maning and Mamang Leikai this morning.

A JACwas also constituted in the meeting.

While strongly condemning the killing by KCP-MC (Sangai Group), the JAC urged upon the Government to book the killers and extend due assistance to the bereaved family.

Aggrieved family members at demanding justice

Ngangom Kuber (66) of Chingmeirong Khongnang Karak was thrashed to dead by some armed persons who identified themselves as cadres KCP-MC (Sangai group) when he went for harvesting paddy at Nungpakthabi yesterday.

The armed persons also set afire his paddy field.

The corpse has been claimed by family members after post mortem at RIMS mortuary today.
