Imphal, March 16: It has been 'officially confirmed' that only one jawan of the Assam Rifles and a civilian got killed in the UNLF/MPA attack at the T Minnou camp of the 24 AR in the early hours yesterday while nine AR personnel sustained injuries.

The deceased AR rifleman has been identified as Md Hadish and the civilian victim as Holkhothang Mate alias Sempu (43) of Moreh W/N I.According to informed sources, the injured AR riflemen have been identified as Chandraprakash who suffered multiple wounds at the forehead (scratch), right thigh, left arm, right shoulder and back; Raju Ronglim on the left leg; Vijay Singh on the lower abdomen and left leg; Ram Sagar Singh - burn injuries on the left arm; Aonukum (multiple wounds); Havildars Suren Dev Rai on the lower abdomen and Shahukar Singh - bomb splinter wounds on the left thigh; and cooks Birendra Singh (cook) on the left leg; Anil Kumar Devrani (multiple wounds).

Bodies of the two deceased have been brought to Moreh police station today.
