Imphal, August 07: Joining the outcry of other bodies, the MPP has also demanded a white paper for excluding L Monika from the Indian contingent to the Beijing Olympics.

Briefing mediapersons at its office here today, MPP president Dr L Chandramani contended that public should be informed about who authorised the dope, where it was conducted and also results of the test.

Asserting that there is no guarantee that the act of dropping Monika minutes before leaving for Beijing might not be political conspiracy he said that such faulty practices would prove a big obstacle to National integration.

MLA O Joy asserted that the misfortune befalling Monika was the handiwork of some elements involved in plotting and expose the fraudulent practices within the country's world of sports.

This would not only slow down the pace of sports development but would also weaken the country.

MLA Dr Ng Bijoy alleged that selective conduct of dope test on Monika only after all the selection processes only revealed that favouritism and nepotism are the trends within Indian sports.

Fighting all these despairing situations, the State Sports Minister should take Monika to Beijing, asserted MLA RK Anand.

The BJP State unit has also come out strongly against the exclusion of L Monika from the squad.

In a statement, the media-in-charge of the party said that it belies logic that Monika should be excluded from the squad on the supposed test report of a sample taken on July 29.Asserting that the report of the dope test was doctored, the statement said that the State BJP unit will not tolerate such sabotages.
