Imphal, January 19: MLAs of the SPF coalition partner DPP will present a private member resolution on restoring pre-merger status at the emergency Assembly session if any threat is posed to the territorial integrity of Manipur as a fallout of the official level peace talks between Govt of India and NSCN (IM).

Addressing media-persons at Hotel Excellency today, DPP Youth Front president P Premananda said party MLAs have been apprised and consulted on the resolution and appealed to all the members of the House to support the motion.

Mobilization campaigns will be launched from tomorrow to garner support of all the MLAs, he said while expressing apprehension that the official level talks may contain agendum detrimental to the interest of the people of Manipur.

If any attempt is made to distort the State boundary all the people should rise in unison and demand restoration of pre-merger status, he stated while hastening to add that people's representative who are on their way to the national capital should apprise the central leaders on similar lines failing which they would be regarded as morally unfit to represent the people.
