Imphal, September 18: Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh has stated that organising a festival carrying the message of peace at a time when Manipur is passing through a very critical phase marked by deterioration in law and order and unsettling situation is quite relevant.

He was speaking as chief guest at the inaugural function of the Festival to Experience God's Love and Peace at Hafta Kangjeibung, Palace Compound here today.

The festival is being organised by Prajapita Bramha Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya.

Director of North Eastern States of the organisation BK Shela, vice chairman of the education wing Muthyunjay, manager Ashok Gaba, additional administrative head DH Mohini, education Minister L Jayantakumar, MLA Dr Ratan and MLA Elangbam Kunjeshore were also present at the occasion.

Addressing the gathering who turned up in large number to participate in the festival despite heavy downpour, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh said that in the present context of Manipur organising peace festival and peace rally is quite relevant and essential.

Appreciating the organisers of such festivals and rallies, the Chief Minister hoped their efforts would help in ushering peace and normalcy in Manipur.

All those who spoke at the occasion hailed Prajapita Bramha Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya as a messenger of peace and observed that if peace can be brought about then there can be development.
