Imphal, June 09: The man who was reportedly shot dead by police commandos last night during an encounter which broke out near the War Cemetery of India Army at Hatta Golapati has been identified as Lalminlen Misao (35) s/o Thangkhosei of Thangalphai, Saikul but staying near the post of 2 MR at Khabeisoi.

According to information received by the press, Lalminlen was a married man and after living separately for some years, he and wife united some weeks back and since then were living in a rented room at Lamlong.

Yesterday morning he had gone out from the rented room along with a friend.

After post-mortem at RIMS today, his body has been taken away by the family members.

On the other hand, after the identification of two persons, out of three of them shot dead by Police Commandos during a shoot out at Ucheckon Lairenpat on June 7, the third person has also been identified today.

He was one Ningthoujam Gulapi (40) s/o Khomei of Laphupat Tera but staying at Tera Loukham Leirak for the last few years along with his second wife.

He was reportedly driving a rickshaw to earn his livelihood.

His first wife is staying at Laphupat along with their six children.

The six wife has five children.

His body has also been taken by the family members after post-mortem at RIMS today.
