Imphal, December 07: Coming out strongly against the action of Imphal West police commandos, the proscribed PREPAK today claimed that its over ground member M Sanatomba alias Dinesh alias James (25) of Khurai Salanthong was done to death after he arrested by police commandos from Raj Poly Clinic, where he had gone for a health check up.

In a statement issued by the department of publicity and propaganda, the outfit said that Sanatomba was arrested yesterday at about 11.30 am and later shot dead at about 1.30 pm near the RIMS morgue.

The outfit further said that Sanatomba had with him a 9 mm pistol made in Brazil by Taurus company, one extra magazine with 32 bullets when he was killed.

Not only this but Rs 2,86,700 kept by Sanatomba at the place where took shelter at Thangmeiband Hijam Dewan Leikai.

He was killed because the police commandos wanted to pocket money as well as the gun and ammunition, claimed the outfit and added that the HE grenade was planted on him.

PREPAK never use the HE gre nade and will not use it in the future too, it claimed.

Asserting that it is against the culture of the land and the people to kill someone after capture, PREPAK said that if Sanatomba was killed in a shoot out, then the police commandos would have been praised for their bravery.
