Imphal, February 05: The JAC Against the Brutal killing of Md Talibur Rehman today staged a Wakat Meepham at Lilong Bazar.

The protest demonstration which began from 8 am to 5 pm was participated by people from all walks of life including students community carrying placards like 'we don't want gun-culture', 'we want peace', 'Give fitting punishment to the killers of innocent people', 'Clarify the killing of Md Talibur Rehman', etc.

A public meeting held as a part of the agitation has decided not to cooperate with any armed outfits inside Lilong area unless clarification being sought on the killing is furnished.

The meeting also appealed to various social organisations to probe into the matter and give punishment to the culprits.

The JAC has also decided to take up various agitations if the concerned persons or groups do not clarify by February 6 .

Rehman, who runs a shop at Lilong Bazar was shot dead on the night of February 2 in front of his own shop by some unidentified miscreants.
