Imphal, March 24: Singing of BJP's success and sounding death knoll of Congress, State unit BJP president and former MP Th Chaoba has exuded confidence of BJP's return to power at the Centre after the Lok Sabha election and predicted that Congress-led SPF Government in the State would disintegrate and crumble under its own weight within July.

Addressing the inaugural function of the BJP Imphal Central Committee at Keishamthong Elangbam Leikai here this afternoon, Th Chaoba who is also the BJP candidate for Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, noted that the forthcoming Lok Sabha election is a crucial one for the people of Manipur the outcome of which would be a deciding factor in determining the future of the State.

So the people of the State should exercise their franchise wisely and diligently, he said, but hastened to add that the people should not commit the mistake of voting for the present Congress led Ibobi Ministry to power again.

If the people vote for the Congress, it would be an open invitation for killing of more child and students and indulges in rampant corruption, he averred.

Stating that the agenda of the BJP in this election would be to highlight and make the people understand the activities and misgovernance of Congress party in the past, Chaoba asserted that after considering the works done by the BJP led NDA Government at the Centre under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee in just five year time to make India a developed country, there is no reason why the people should not be voting for BJP.

It is high for the people of Manipur to realize why the State is still lagging behind under its Congress led SPF Government while infrastructural development in terms of road and communication facilities has reached an all time-new height in all the States including other Congress ruled ones, he observed.

The fact is that the present SPF Government has misused and diverted all the fund released by the Centre for taking up developmental works in the State, Chaoba alleged.

After the end of the function presided over by president of the newly inaugurated BJP Imphal Central Committee, Chaoba along with his entourage also went to Keinou to inaugurate an office of the BJP Oinam Mandal.
