Imphal, January 11: The Bharatiya Janata Party State Secretary L Ashokumar Singh today said in a press statement that there is strong reason to believe that a peaceful solution will be the fallout of the present peace talk between government of India and NSCN(IM).

It is good fortune for all of us in Manipur that the 50 years problems on the highways and hill districts of Manipur will soon be over without disturbing the territorial integrity of Manipur and without harming the interest of the people of Manipur.

Peace is in the interest of all he added.

Isak Swu's statement that "...

Peace is more important..." is of immense significance to the communal and ethnic harmony of the region.

Whereas T Muivah's statement that he was not born in the land of the Meitei is unnecessary and borders on provocation.

It is true that he was not born on the territory of the Meiteis but it is also true that he was born in Somdal village, Ukhrul district of Manipur he added.

No one can deny this fact.

On the other hand Muivah's statement exposes the differences in the leadership of the NSCN(IM).

In such a situation all leaders of the political parties should join hands to closely monitor the development and act accordingly based on facts not on rumor or sentiment.

Some political parties and leaders are indulging in cheap populist exercises based on the fear and apprehension of the people it said.

Section of the media in the country is also resorting to news sensationalism he said.

The PM and the Dy PM had repeatedly reiterated that the territorial integrity of Manipur would never be compromised in the peace talk.

The PM had reiterated yesterday that question of greater Nagaland or any controversial agenda will not be entertained in this tall he pointed out.

We should believe in what the PM said he added.

BJP's national slogan is nation first, party second and self last.

This is extended to the states as state first, party second and self last.
