Imphal, July 08: Karong AC MLA Henry Paote today staged a walk out during zero hour of the morning session after his submission that the Assembly Deputy Secretary had denigrated his status as an MLA went unheeded.

Henry said that the Deputy Secretary was very rude and even had the gall to tell the MLA not to disturb him when the MLA went to him yesterday to rectify some mistakes in some questions which he wanted to raise.

Henry staged the walk out to protest the failure to take any action against the official.

The MLA had also brought up the matter during zero hour yesterday and had demanded punitive action against the official.
