However, as the protesters realised that both the Chief Minister and Chief Minister in-charge were away they withdrew after fixing an appointment with the Chief Minister in-charge.

Later at around 4 in the afternoon, some JAC members have a meeting with CM in-charge Th Debendra during which they put up their four point demand.

The demands include punishment of the security personnel involved in the killing, provision of a suitable job to a kin of the deceased, institution of an enquiry into the killing and provision of Rs 5 lakhs as ex-gratia to the family of the deceased.

However, the two sides could not arrive at any understanding.

Nevertheless it is reported that the JAC members were invited to a second round of talk.

This enraged the JAC members and subsequently the JAC has resolved not to claim the corpse of Md Qudus until their demands are fulfilled.

The JAC has also decided to take up various forms of agitation in pursuit of their demands.

According to the JAC Against the Killing of Md Qudus Ali alias Bobo, Urup Makha Leikai, Md Qudus was a simple salesman in CK Agency, Thangal Bazar.

He was a married man.

Police commandos picked up Qudus on the road to CDO Keirao Bitra where he was going for some work before he was done to death, alleged the JAC.
