Imphal, January 06: The Solidarity Committee on Territorial Ethnic Integrity will be organizing a peace rally in Imphal on Jan 8 for the protection of the Manipur's Territorial integrity.

The convenor of the Committee MC Meitei disclosed this to media person during an interaction at the Hotel Anand Continental this evening.

While appealing to everyone to join the peace rally the convenor also informed that the Police Dept, Medical, District administration will also be providing help during the rally.

The committee said that it does not want any change in the boundary of Manipur.

While supporting the ongoing peace process the committee urges the Indian Govt to put up the question of NSCN's demand for independence in the Parliament for debate if it is really sincere about solving the insurgency problem.

It also warned of another 'June uprising' if the Govt tries to meddle with the boundary of Manipur in trying to work out a solution to the vexed Indo-Naga peace process.

Strike suspended: As a result of an understanding reached between the Govt and the Biramongol College Conversion Demand Committee today, the Committee has suspended all its agitational works for the time being.
