Imphal, July 22 2009: A bomb blasted at the house of the proprietor of the Hotel Nirmala last night.

KCP (MC) Puranthaba group has owned up the blast today even as locals protested against the incident.

The bomb was triggered at the main entrance gate of the proprietor of the Hotel Nirmala, Thangal Bazar, Koijam Nilo of Uripok Khoirom Leikai, Imphal last night at around 10.30 am.

No casualty occurred in blast that took place for the second time in this current year.

In March, this year also one such bomb attack had conducted to the house reportedly in connection with Rs five lakh demand.

It failed to explode.

Womenfolk of the locality staged a sit-in protest decrying the attack on the house located the thickly populated area and causing panic to the residents of the area.

While stating that the bomb was triggered by them, a statement of the KCP(MC) signed by its information and public relation officer Puranthaba dispatched today stated that it was second and final warning to the proprietor for defying the help that sought from him by the group.

It alleged that instead getting positive response to the appraisal of the group, the proprietor informed the police commandos with an intention to fell its activists in the police hand.

He called activists of the group on the pretext of paying money but sent police commando.

In the bid to escape from the police hands, two of its activists suffered critical injuries.

The group conducted the attack for his un-forgiven mistake and if he is not surrender to the group admitting his fault, the group will view seriously and takes up appropriate action against him, the statement added.

The group also owned up the attack at the Shanti hospital recently and asked the hospital authority to communicate with the group within the next two days.

The attack on the hospitals related with the disobeyed of the rules and regulations to be followed by them in running a hospital.

If the continue to defy the same, further deadly attack are likely to conduct for the sake of people's welfare, Purantha warned.

Proprietors should be sole responsible for any untoward incidents at the hospital in future, it stated.

It also stated that the claim related with the attack on the life of the LDA executive engineer and killing his drive some days was also the handy work some group who was trying to tarnish the name of the group dispatching press notes in the name of the party.

Those who involved in issuing the press note should surrender to the party through media.
