Imphal, December 06 2008: A YOUTH was shot to injure severely at Mayang Imphal while police commandos fired several rounds of guns to control a confrontation at Tidim road in separate incidents occurred tonight.

Today at around 9 pm a youth named Md Abo (17) son of Md Tomba of Mayang Imphal Konuma has been brought up with bullet injury at the left face after he was shoot at by two unknown youths coming into a motor cycle.

According to a report, he was shot while he was with one of his local friends at a public ground in his locality where a Leela was about to stage.

The shooting incident when people started gathering at the place.

The attackers left the spot quickly after shooting him, the report added.

Meanwhile, tonight at around 8 pm, police commandos fired several rounds of guns while controlling a confrontation between two parties on the side of the Tidim road.

The incident occurred when a group of people led by one Yumnam Jony (26) son of Bijoy of Keishamthong Moirangningthou assaulted three brothers residing on the other side of the Tidim road opposite to their residence and the brothers tried to take avenge.

The three brothers assaulted by Jony and his party were identified as Heikham Chalamba (26) son of Inao, his brothers John (22) and Johnao (19) .

When a high tension erupted there, a team of police commandos rushed to the spot and controlled the incident by firing guns in the air, the report added.
