Imphal, June 12 2010: The Co-ordination Committee of Manipuri Organisations in Karbi-Anglong has welcomed the indication that the Naga Students' Federation (NSF) may lift the ban imposed on Manipur vehicles in Nagaland.

Conveying heartfelt condolence over the loss of two lives in the Mao Gate incident, a press release issued by the committee prayed that such incidents never recur.

Nevertheless, the committee cautioned that it is all prepared to launch more intensive counter blockade after the 36 hours counter blockade enforced a few days back, in case the NSF fails to lift the blockade in the interest of public at the earliest.

It further proposed that people of the entire North East region should stand united and iron out differences and grievances through peaceful dialogue rather than blaming one another.
