He also told his family members before he went out that he would buy a two wheeler as well.

It was also told by family members of Tenden that the deceased went out from his house last night.

Claiming that Bishorjit was an innocent civilian, the people of the area in a public meeting today constituted a JAC against the killing and marched towards the CM's residence this afternoon to submit a memorandum.

The enraged locals were however blocked at Sanjenthong by the police.

The police later allowed 14 representatives of the JAC led by its convener Chanam (O) Tombi to meet CM in-charge Th Debendra.

The team submitted a memorandum to the Minister.

As the CM is currently out of station, Debendra requested the JAC members to come again at 2 pm tomorrow to meet the CM.

The memorandum while condemning the killing demanded for a Judicial Enquiry into the killing.

The memorandum also demanded to give befitting punishment to the personnel involved in the killing, and an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakhs be provided to the family of the deceased.

The memorandum further said that Bishorjit's dead body would not be taken until a written assurance from the Government on their demands is given.

The memorandum also demanded for a Government job for the wife of the deceased.

The JAC also warned that they would take up a mass agitation with the help of social organisations if the State Government fails to give positive response to their demands within three days.
