Imphal, March 27: Personnel of Imphal West police commandos today shot dead a suspected militant near the DM College basketball court at about 6 pm.

The slain UG suspect was on a black coloured Honda Activa when the incident occurred.

According to the RC book of the vehicle it belongs to one Moirangthem Lokeshore son of M Ichouba of Yairipok Top Chingkha.

The earlobes of the deceased were found pierced, is dark complexioned, heavily built and tall.

A Chinese hand grenade was found near the body.

A bullet injury was found on the left side of the chest.

The body of the unidentified UG suspect has been picked up and deposited at RIMS morgue.
