Imphal, April 25: Meira paibis of Khurai Thindingjam Leikai today blocked the Imphal � Ukhrul road as a mark of protest against the arrest of a youth by suspected Assam Rifles personnel who came in two Gypsy's from Thoidingjam Leikai last night.

The youth who was arrested last night has been identified as one Moirangthem Mocha (31) S/o (L) Nungshi of Khurai Thioidingjam Liekai.

Talking to media person's representatives of the meira paibis informed that the agitation would be further intensified by boycotting the Inner Lok Shabha polls tomorrow.

They further stated that Mocha was a former cadre of the proscribed outfit PLA but had return to the main stream and was leading a normal life after severing all ties with the outfit.

Mocha was forcibly dragged out of this bed by uniformed personnel and thrashed before his wife and children and letter arrested without issuing any arrest memo, added the Meira paibis.
