Imphal, December 21 2008: The proscribed KCP (MC) has claimed that the bomb attack at Raj Bhavan this evening was launched by the 5th Lanjaba Special Demo Unit of KFL, armed wing of the outfit.

A press release issued by the outfit's military affairs secretary Lanheiba Meitei asserted that today's attack was a demonstration of the party's firm commitment not to betray people by standing against any liberation movement or maligning any revolutionary movement.

Lanheiba also dismissed reported statement of IG AR (S) AK Choudhury that Lallumba alias Hitendra group of KCP (MC) has come to the negotiating table.

The alleged attempt of the State and Central Governments to present all insurgents of Manipur as lacking definite political objectives and revolutionary principles by building up a big issue around the peace talk with Lallumba alias Hitendra is only a far-fetched dream.

The Government's act of putting up Lallumba as a rebel leader is only a "monkey business".

Asking Lallumba and his cohorts to stop acting against the revolutionary movement by masquerading as KCP (MC), Lanheiba disclosed that the party's central security council will be studying in detail about all activities aimed at tarnishing the image of a revolutionary group, maligning the revolutionary movement of Kangleipak and bargaining the sacrifice of revolutionaries with money.

It also reiterated that the KCP (MC) would sit for dialogue with New Delhi only when the Government of India acknowledges the liberation movement for restoration of the lost sovereignty of Kangleipak The Anglo-Manipuri War of 1891 is a living testimony of the Manipuri nation's patriotism, it asserted while stating that just as the people of India love their country and want peace, Manipuris too love their land in no less degree and equally eager for peace.
