Imphal, March 20: With the constitution of Election Campaign Committee the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Manipur Pradesh is all set to begin campaigning for the two Parliamentary constituencies in Manipur in the two phase polling next month.

March 26 has been set to begin the election campaign from the Outer Manipur seat where polling would be conducted on April 20.Stressing on detailed conduct of poll campaign to reap maximum benefit three election campaign committees were formed during a meeting at its Old Lambulane office and presided by BJP State unit president Th Chaoba Singh and attended by State executive committee members, presidents and general secretaries of morchas and district mandals, party office bearers and special invitees.

Party vice president Dr N Tombi has been appointed as chairman of the campaign committee for the 32 assembly segments in the Inner seat and will have its office at Old Lambulane.

For the Outer seat, vice president Th Yumjao has been appointed as the chairman of the poll campaign committee with its office to be based at Queen Hotel in Dewlahland.

A special campaign committee to look after Thoubal district where seven assembly segments are clubbed to the Outer Parliamentary constituency has also been set up with vice president N Ram as the chairman.

The committee office will be opened at Kakching Bazar.

Senior vice president of the party H Thangjom will be stationed at the Old Lambulane head office for coordination of the three campaign committees.

The BJP poll campaign for the Outer seat would begin with the hoisting of party flag at Queen Hotel on March 26 after which party president Th Chaoba will address a public meeting at Senapati district headquarters in the afternoon to kick start the party campaign.
