MTPRM spells out anti-Cong campaign

Imphal, April 12: The Movement for Tribal Peoples Rights, Manipur (MTPRM) has spelt out its mode of anti-Congress campaign today in the run up to the poll and stated that the tribals body would not do immature things.

Talking to Newmai News Network, MTPRM leaders said that it would not do such things as tearing out the election posters or bringing down the flags of the Congress supported candidates but it would rather convinced the public leaders not to vote for any Congress party supported candidates.

The MTPRM leaders said that it just happened that NCP candidate for the Outer Parliamentary seat Holkhommang Haokip has been supported by the Congress party in the forthcoming polls when the MTPRM has been making strategy to mobilize anti-Congress activities adding that the tribals rights body has no personal differences with the NCP candidate.

The leaders further expressed that they had no political strategy when they had decided to campaign against the Congress party and its allies in the forthcoming polls but said that they had been forced to do what they had planned as they had no other alternatives but only to campaign against the Congress party and its allies reasoning that the Congress party led SPF Govt has been meting out step-motherly treatments to the tribal people of Manipur.

The MTPRM leaders further said that various economic blockades carried out along the National Highways had failed to stir the callous SPF govt.The SPF Govt.
