Imphal, August 10: With anger still running high over the exclusion of L Monika from the Beijing squad, the ace weight lifter is set to arrive here tomorrow to attend a public meeting scheduled to be held at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium.

The decision to hold the public meeting tomorrow at 11 am was taken during a meeting of the Manipur Olympic Association wherein a body christened Co-ordinating Committee Against Monika's Withdrawal from Beijing Olympics.

The meeting was attended by representatives of civil society organisations, student bodies and women organisations and sports associations.

After minutely discussing the issue, three resolutions were adopted.

The resolutions include that representatives of student organisations, civil society organisations, sports associations, women's bodies will be members of the Co-ordinating Committee.

It was also decided that a nine member team would be appointed as co-convenors.

Furthermore the meeting decided that during tomorrow's scheduled meeting various issues such as how to promote sports in Manipur the partisan approach of some will be discussed.
