Imphal, May 10 2010: Spokesperson of SPF Government and IFCD and YAS Minister, N Biren has said that the Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio has no right to interfere in the internal affairs of Manipur.

Taking strong exception to the reported condemnation by Neiphiu Rio of the State Cabinet's decision to bar Th Muivah from visiting Manipur, Minister N Biren said that maintenance of law and order in the state by the State Government lies within its authority and rights.

Therefore, the Nagaland Chief Minister should speak with the knowledge of Centre-State relation in India.

The state boundary is a sensitive issue, Minister Biren said adding that one should not utter anything as he likes about the territorial integrity of Manipur.

There is a hidden political agenda in the Union Home Minister's permission to the visit of NSCN-IM leader, Th Muivah to Manipur.

The State Government considers the proposed visit of Muivah to Manipur at such a time while preparations for holding ADC elections in order to facilitate democratic rights to the people of the hills are in full swing as an attempt to disturb Manipur's territorial integrity, he said.

If Muivah wants to come to Manipur without the hidden intention of campaigning for Naga integration and Manipur's disintegration, the State Government itself would make elaborate arrangements for his visit, the spokesperson said.

But as it is not that way, the State Government has to take steps to prevent him from coming to Manipur, the spokesperson added.
