Imphal, August 02: The State Assembly passed 46 bills during the 18 day session of the state assembly MPP, President, Okram Joy MLA said talking to the media persons.

As the session was confined to 18 days only he could not put up many of the grievances faced by the public.

Talking to the media persons this afternoon in his MPP office chamber, he said the MPP is determined to make people aware about the functioning of the state assembly the working of Parliamentary system by organizing quiz competitions.

The common men have to know all the words terminology used in the Assembly like Zero hour, Calling attention, Cut motion etc.

In addition to that the award for journalists for parliamentary reporting also will be considered by MPP and from his side.

The matter will be handed over to any journalists' front for the assessment, he added.

He personally felt that National Highway Protection Scheme is a serious matter.

Inspite of the truce between Govt of India and the NSCN (IM) since Aug 1, 1997, NSCN(IM) is collecting money by issuing receipts at Dimapur, Nagaland This is open secret.
